L’âge de la maturité
La Fanzinothèque se porte bien. Merci pour elle. Créé en 1989, l’espace poitevin dédié aux fanzines est toujours aussi actif. Une vitalité qui s’illustre par les quelque 50 000 revues amateurs accumulées en vingt-deux ans. Les étals ainsi entreposés au Confort Moderne constituent la plus importante collection mondiale actuelle de ces « magazines de fans ».
Un fonds entretenu quotidiennement par les défenseurs du genre. Et mis à leur disposition sous la forme connue d’un centre de documentation. Pour une adhésion de 5€, il est ainsi possible de s’approprier, pour trois semaines, trois de ces apériodiques indépendants… qui défendent aussi bien un moyen d’expression artistique que littéraire ou politique…
Côté partenariats, la Fanzinothèque n’est pas en reste. Les 6 et 7 mai prochains, elle accompagnera par exemple la célébration du 20e anniversaire du fanzine « Chéri Bibi ». Un raout convivial notamment marqué par un débat sur la presse alternative, le samedi 6 mai, à Cap Sud.

The Fanzinothque is fine and dandy. Thanks for asking! Created in 1989, the Poitiers fanzine space is as busy as could be; its dynamism is illustrated by the 50000 amateur reviews it has amassed over 22 years. Its storage stalls in Confort Moderne constitute today’s largest collection in the world of these « fans’ magazines ».
The collection is maintained day after day by the keepers of the faith, and remains at their disposal in the familiar form of a learning resource center. Having paid 5 euros of dues, you may borrow for three weeks three independent periodicals defending a means of expression at once artistic, literary, and at times political.
As regards its partners, the Fanzinotheque is similarly hale and hearty. On May 6th and May 7th, for instance, it will help celebrate of the 20th anniversary of a fanzine called « Chéri Bibi ». A friendly gathering will be highlighted by a debate on the alternative press (Saturday, May 6th, at Cap Sud).
